2014 Young women in Excellence

I was looking back at pictures and realized  that I hadn't posted about our Young Women In                                 Excellence in 2014. Since we din't have any girls turning 12 that year we decided since the Christmas season is so busy that we would kinda combine young Women In Excellence and New Beginnings and do it in February.

Our theme was "Seek the Sweet".
Our invitation:

Each girl was put into groups and were in charge of part of the night, one group was in charge of the invitation and another was in charge of the program.

Program:
For one part in our program we had girls speak about the values and "why they are sweet to them."

We had some really cute decorations! With our theme "Seek the Sweet" we decided to decorate with the theme Candy land to decorate.

Walking In
When you walked in there was a path of colorful squares like in candy land that led you a little bit into the gym. By the gym doors we had a table set up with the candy land board, some ginger bread men that we just printed off the internet and painted, and some candy.

Our desert table
Really simple! We hung up wrapping paper on the back, the banner I made with my "cricut", the circle things my mom found at "hobby lobby", and the desserts were made by some of our young women who were one the dessert "committee"

Handout:
My young women's leader made these aren't they cute!

Front Table Area:

We also had each of the girls have a table and they displayed what they had been working on. Then in the program we all came up and explained what was on the tables.

My table:

We also had cute lolly pops on each table with the girls name on it.  They we really simple to make you get a roll of toilet paper and tie two colors of tissue paper around it then we got two paper plates and hot glued them together and painted them to look like lolly pops put a stick on the back and put some glue on the end stick it in the toilet paper.

Here are some others...
