For refinishing my desk chair the first step was to ruff it up or sand it down. It has been many colors and it has another one to go. To see how I learned to refinish click (here).

Refinishing desk chair project- Before pictures
I got a desk for christmas and so one of my projects this summer was to refinish my desk chair. Here are some before pictures!
Enjoy the Moments
As I was at a soccer game for one of my brothers I was reminded that we need to enjoy the everyday moments in life by my younger brother as he was playing with a lady bug.
There are so many joys in life we just need to find them.
Beautiful Green Grass
Warm Cookies from out of the Oven
Plants Beginning to grow
I was also reminded of the joys of life when we went to a pond and there were geese. The younger kids eyes and face as they chased them around.
"Sub" Sandwiches
One of my jobs this summer was to make lunch everyday. One of my favorite lunch ideas so far has been "sub sandwiches" I just got a couple kinds of cheese and meat, french baget bread, some lettuces, mustard, just throw in some fruit, and you are SET!
* This would also be great in a school lunches
Temple Trip
I had an amazing experience when I went to the temple with my family to get my sisters baptism pictures. We where taking pictures when Sister Reeves and Sister Durham (she is the new 2nd counselor in the primary presidency) where getting a tour of the temple ground. An amazing experience that I will never forget! Click (here) for another post about the general women's leaders.

This recipe is so easy it is great for beginner! But it can still always work for more advanced people. I was one of the first recipes that I learned to make.
Applesauce Muffins
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
6/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups flour
2 cups applesauce
1 cup oil
Mix all the ingredients together. Pour into a sprayed muffin tin. Bake for 18 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes about 24 muffins.
* These are perfect to freeze and throw in cold lunch for school.
